Some Acrobat documents print with areas that are blacked out.

I download and save various monthly statements in pdf format.  Until a few months ago, I could print these without issues.  However, some documents now print with large areas blacked-out.  I would like to know why this is happening, and what I might do to fix it.  I am using using the current version of Apple macOS.
