Question

Some PDFs print lines using HP Laserjet and some do not?

I have tried to print certain PDF documents on HP LaserJet MFP M477fnw using my MAC and they contain lines. I bought HP laser jet paper and used the clean function and it still does it.  However, some PDF documents print perfectly with no lines.  I cannot figure this out.

Hi Markj,

Could you please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Apply redaction to the pdf file using the steps given in this link and try printing again: Removing sensitive content from PDFs in Adobe Acrobat DC

2- If that doesn't work, flatten the pdf file using Preflight tool in Acrobat and print pdf as image, please refer to the steps given in these links for more info on: How to 'Flatten' in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and how to Print PDF as image | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

Thanks,

Shivam

This looks like a printer cleaning problem. I have, however, met this problem before.

There the person could print fine on his iOS device, but could not print on his Mac on the same device. At the end, it was a driver problem. Using AirPrint solved it.

You could look here for more information on troubleshooting printer problems on your Apple device: If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support

Printer has been cleaned twice.  Tried printing same document from my iPhone using AirPrint and that did not solve the problem.  Thanks for trying.

Same document? Same problem? The printer seams to have a problem!
