We assume you are experiencing this issue with a particular document here. If yes, then please check the following details:

1- Is the document preview before printing looks fine? If yes, then update your printer drivers

2- Install the latest patch of Acrobat/Reader. Open Application>help>check for an update

3- If the font used in the file is embedded correctly, then the output of the PDF will be fine too. Ensure that all fonts are embedded correctly. Open file>document properties (Ctrl+D)> Fonts

4-  Acrobat>Menu>Preferences>Page Display>Use Local Font checked>OK
