Question

Spaces missing after Automatically tag PDF

The text in the original PDF had spaces where you could separate the words. But, after using the Automatically tag PDF feature, or using the Reading Order Tool, the spaces disappears.

Tagging by Accessibility tags makes the spaces left, but also makes user go through a complicated process.
Are there any other solutions to that problem?

Attached is the file that is causing the problem - in 18 page. I hope it will help you.

Thanks @Boin, for sharing the info.

While the team investigates this, could you update the app to the latest version and let us know if you experience the issue there, too?

Start the update process by going to Help-> Check for Updates.

If you do not see any updates available, you can download the offline installer from here: Download Acrobat installer for Enterprise term or VIP license (adobe.com)

Hi @ ,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

I checked through the accessibility checker for the document and found the result below:

After the analysis, I replaced the original tags by using the Automatically Tag PDF tool again.

Once done, I used the "Use Setup Assistant" tool. This tool ensured that all the tags are set up as such, that the document is not altered.

Additionally, you can manually edit Tag if there are a few you think needs adjustments.

To do so, get to the Tags Panel, by getting into Accessibility-> Right-click the tag that needs correction to go to properties-> manually adjust the spacing.

More info here: Creating accessible PDFs in Adobe Acrobat

Hope this helps.

Hi Souvik,

Thank you for your reply.

I check your answer, but there is still problem.

The solution is usable when using cloud-based auto-tagging. Cloud-based auto-tagging is a great feature, but due to its limitations (number of pages, file size, language configuration unavailability and recognition issues, etcs.), it is not available in a variety of documents.
That's why I want you to check the solution as a local auto-tagging.

The document I gave you as a sample is a local auto-tagging document. There are three things I want to check:

1. What causes only 18p to recognize the entire contents of the document as a Figure tag?
2. Can we know the reason why the blank is missing? It is associated with that 18p is recognized as a Figure tag?
3. There is a way to solve that problem?
