My days are spent mostly waiting on Acrobat to do one thing or another since I have plugins for it like FusionPro and PitstopPro. My current computer is an AMD 7900x with a Gen4 SSD and I am wondering if I would get any speed increase from a 9900X3D. Can anyone who has one of the X3D chips share their experience?

    @Keith Wing Your current setup is pretty good at as a top-tier. The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X is an extremely powerful 12-core, 24-thread CPU, and a Gen4 SSD is lightning fast. With that hardware, you've likely eliminated the most common bottlenecks for general computing. The main reason you're waiting on Acrobat and its plugins is almost certainly because of the nature of the tasks themselves, not your hardware. 

    With regards to the 9900X3D, on reddit, it was noted it can run hot under load and may be considered expensive.
