Hey, I work in HR for a company and we've got a large pdf file that is compiled of multiple employee records (about 70k pages) and I want to split that pdf up by searching for employee ID numbers, consolidating pages with matching numbers, and saving those consolidated pages as individuals files that are named by those employee ID numbers. Is there any way at all to do this in Acrobat Pro DC without having to manually go through all 70k pages?

Check out EverMap. They have a split tool that I think does exactly what you want.

It's possible to do that using a script (under some circumstances), but 70K pages is really too much for a script in Acrobat to be able to handle. I would recommend using a plugin or a stand-alone tool, instead.

If you're interested in hiring someone to develop this tool for you feel free to contact me privately via [try6767 at gmail.com] and we could discuss it further.

Thanks try67, I'm not high enough up in the decision making ladder to say we will contract this out but I can pass it along.
