Hello I have converted a document to a pdf using Micorsoft word 365. As is our common process my team takes the .PDF and opens it in Adobe Pro.  Here we tag the document. Recently,  we started to be unable to tag the bulk of the images and other items on the page as decorative/artifact.  They continue to show in the reading order and under tags.  Any idea on what might be causing this?

Not sure what might be causing this, but I highly recommend creating the image tags within Microsoft Word so that those changes are saved in the original file. Otherwise, if anyone makes an edit to the Word file, you have to retag everything all over again. Microsoft enables you to mark an image as decorative (which will artifact the image) or set the alt text for the images. Either way, my assumption is that the fix is likely in Microsoft.
