Status of bug ADC-4502288 - Not loading font correctly

Hi, Is there any information available on bug ADC-4502288? I have an issue where a font is not loading properly in PDFs. It seems this issue is specific to Macs since others can see the font when using PC with Acrobat.

I used Chat support and they mentioned this was the bug number to follow up on. It doesn't seem mentioned in this community and isn't listed in the Known Bugs https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/known-issues-acrobat-dc-reader.html .

I just want to confirm this is the same issue I am having and see if there is an expectation for when it will be resolved. Thanks!

@kate_6222,  

 

 The fix is currently part of an optional update, meaning the update won't be installed automatically. 

Please check the Release notes: https://adobe.ly/4l7x7Qm for more information:

  • 4502288: Text goes missing on opening PDF whereas only graphics/images are displayed

To check for any pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check for updates.

We have rolled out fix for this issue. Please update Acrobat to the latest version and try opening the pdf files.

Hi, Thanks for letting me know. It doesn't look like there are any updates yet, the last update was March 13. I will check again tomorrow to see if there is an update available. Thanks!

Hi @kate_6222

Sorry for the troubled experience.
The issue is currently under investigation, and there are no further updates that we can share. The bug was recently logged, and it usually takes some time to get listed once it is confirmed that it is linked to the product or dependent on something else, like the Operating system or Fonts, etc. In that situation, it may not even be listed.
