STIG complaint indexed searching

We deploy our product documentation to government customers who require that the PCs used must implement the Adobe Acrobat STIGs. When "bDisableTrustedFolders" is set in the registry, as required by the STIGs, indxed searching using a .pdx file is blocked.  There seem to be other features for file whitelisting, both using a whitelist file and via the registry, but I cannot get them to work to enable a .pdx search.  How do I get .pdx searching to work on a STIG compliant Acrobat Reader installation?
