Question

Submit a form option will not work

Hi all,

I am trying to utilize the Submit button to email timesheets to our director but I keep getting an error stating, “An error occurred while sending mail. If you are not sure how to proceed further, you can save your form and return it manually using your internet service”.

So, my default for mail is Outlook, most fixes seem to be for the older version of Outlook (as I am on the newer version). I also have the “mailto:” properly set up, so I am at a loss as to what the issue is and how to fix it. Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Jared Cz.,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

The error message typically appears when the application is unable to communicate correctly with the system’s default email client. Could you please confirm if this happens with this particular document or with others? Did you notice this behaviour recently?

Try creating a test document and check if the same happens. Please also create a small video of the steps you take. If you experience the same issue with the test document, share the video with us. Additionally, share the Acrobat, Outlook and OS version numbers.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

I have always had issues with using this feature and have always faced similar problems.

To clarify, I did set up the email to be a PDF, not FDF.
