Successfully installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 but will not run.

Anybody have any solutions on how to get Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 to open once I got the Successfully Installed message?  I have several PDF files that I cannot open at all.  I'm on a deadline and need to Merge all the files into one.  That's why I purchased the Pro 2017.

Thanks for any suggestions. I use a MacBook Air 10.13.1.
