Question

Suddenly unable to attach pdf to android text

Yesterday I was able to send a pdf 'text' message to someone.

Today I get a message stating the file type is unsupported.

I have even opened a pdf I previously sent, and tried to send it to multiple people, and keep getting the same message.

All applications are current versions.

I need to be able to send the actual file via text message.

Other file types seem to work without issue.

Hi @bridget_8739,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

When you refer to sending a PDF text message, would you mind sharing a screen recording of the workflow you are referring to?

Is it that you are trying to add comments to a file, and you see the error message?

Please share more details so we can assist you further.

I receive a PDF file via email. I sign the file in Adobe. Then I save the
file to my device. Then I click on the share icon to share via
text/email/messenger, etc. I choose to text the recipient. It opens my text
message app (Samsung android messages), but then it has a pop up that says
"Unable to attach. File type not supported". I've sent this type of thing
the same way for about 2 years. Now it won't work. I am able to send it via
email, messenger, and I can share it other ways, just not in messages.

@bridget_8739 Thanks for sharing this.

Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the event you are referring to?

I am not able to reproduce this at my end.
