Summary of Redacted Text

Hi all,

I am performing redaction on clinical and regulatory documents and EU requirements dictate a summary table of redacted text along with justifications.

Once I have markup complete, but BEFORE applying the redactions, is there a way to collate a list of text marked up for redaction, or would I need to first insert the to-be-redacted text in a comment?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you insert the text into a comment it would be easier to create such a summary, but it can also be done if you don't, by reading the coordinates of the text on the page and comparing them to those of the redaction annotations.

I've developed tools that can handle both situations, so if you're interested in a bespoke solution for this (for a fee, of course), feel free to contact me privately to discuss it further.

If you're using the latter method then the built-in Comments Summary command of Acrobat might be enough for you, though.
