Question
Switching from 32 bit Acrobat and Photoshop to 64 bit version.
Dear Adobe Community,
In 2015 I bought a MacBook Pro, and also, I have bought 3 softwares from Adobe. 1 of the softwares was an Acrobat Pro DC. I got it in a package, it has a CD, and the necessary product key.
The other 2 softwares were in bundle, Premier Elements 14, and Photoshop 14. I have the 2 CDs for these two softwares, and also the product key.
A couple of days ago, I have bought a MacBook Pro 2024. I wanted to install these software on my new computer. I searched for the CD-s, and I launched them on my new MacBook. I started with the Premier Elements and the Photoshop. Unfortunately, after inserting the CD, it says, that it is a 32 bit software, and I cannot install them on my computer. And I am really sad about that, because I’ve been using Photoshop and part of the Premier Elements for a long time.
I also tried to install the Acrobat Pro DC. I inserted the CD, I could launch the installer, but at the description part it stucks. I believe it has the same issue, with the 32 bit, 64 bit problem, just somehow this does not give it as an error. But as the Acrobat Pro DC is also from 2015, I reckon this is the same problem.
Both of these softwares are students versions. I am still student, I have my valid student card.
I really would like to use these softwares in the future as well. When I bought them, I was hoping, that I will be able to use them in my whole life.. Please let me know, if you could help me, as Adobe Customer Care could not help on this...
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Bence
