Tag for form fields in Header Row not showing up as tagged in Table

I have a table with text form fields in the Header Row. When I click on the whole table tag, it looks like it is tagged, as seen here:

Unfortunately, when I click on that Table Row and all the Table Header tags in the Accessibility Tags panel, those form fields are not there.

The form fields are anchored inside the table, and the table is in the Articles Panel in inDesign. This table flows to the next page, so the Header Row automatically appears there too. Could this be why the text form field isn't tagged? What am I doing wrong?

Hi @cmvarga5,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

Since your table is flowing onto multiple pages, InDesign may not always automatically propagate the correct tags across all pages, especially for form fields in the header row. If the header row is set to repeat on every page, it's possible that the form fields inside it aren’t being tagged consistently across those pages.

Solution: Ensure that you set the header row's form fields properly for each page. For accessibility, the same tags and roles need to be applied to every instance of the header row across pages. You might need to manually tag the table’s form fields on the second page and any subsequent ones to ensure they are correctly tagged.

Hope this clarifies your question.

Have you tagged your pdf using Acrobat. Can you please share the sample PDF file with us for investigation.
