Tagged PDF

While converting a tagged word doc to a pdf the alt text is transposed to a random number/digit combo on both the original word doc and the PDF, IF THE ALT-TEXT converts. After multiple attempts there conversions where the Alt-text does not transpose or it will perfectly but the rest of the content will be in a weird text that PDF does not allow me to change. If the Alt text is not converted over, PDF does not allow me to copy and paste the alt text in, or save when I hand type them in.
