Text box with Scroll Bar causing loss of text during export

I have a document with a text box that allows for scrolling when the text overfills the box, however when exporting the PDF to any other format it causes all text outside of the initial textbox to be lost. Is there a way around this or do I need to just remove the scroll option and increase the size of the text box?
