Text Field Keeping Old Text When You Click Out of It

We are having an issue with fillable forms, mainly when trying to update an already filled form. When someone tries to edit a field, it will show the new text when you are editing, but once you click out of the box, it will show the previous text. Has anybody come across this issue? I believe this happens due to the PDF being opened on Edge and worked on Edge, and when other staff open it on Adobe, that's where the issue then occurs. Like Edge corrupts the form or something.
