Text getting distorted in Acrobat DC when editing pdf

Hello. I edited a pdf and added new pages to the document, but then the pdf text on random pages got distorted. However, when I try to copy an paste these distorted lines, say, in NotePad the sentence appears correctly. I am not sure how to resolve this issue and correct the pdf.

Which software was used to create the original document?  In my experience, that is the software you should be using to add pages, etc....  When you're done editing the original document, save it and and create a new PDF from Acrobat.
