Let me start by apologizing if some of what I say sounds weird: english is not my first language and my Acrobat version is in my native language, so maybe I'm getting the terminology wrong.

I have created a fillable form pdf, where every text field appears, at least in my computer, like this:Now that it's finished, I've sent it to my colleague and, when he enters text, it gets stuck to the bottom of the text field:

Needless to say, this wrecks all the composition of the pdf, because now the text entered clips through the decorative line that was supposed to underline it. Is there any way to make sure that the text is centered vertically inside the text field?

The issue is probably with his PDF viewer.

In the options tab of the field properties, do you have "Allow rich text formatting" checked?  Uncheck it.  What font size do you have in the appearance tab of the field properties?  Try "Auto".  What PDF viewer is your colleague using to open the PDF?

Rich text formatting is unchecked.

I'm using Adobe Arabic with a font size of 14. If I set it to Auto, the text appears really small, almost like size 6 or 7.

My colleague is using the default reader for Linux CentOS (he can't tell me the name right now, but he will in a half hour or so).
