Text or Fonts Not Displaying Correctly in Adobe Acrobat Pro

I’m currently experiencing an issue in Adobe Acrobat Pro where the text or fonts appear invisible or not rendering properly in certain PDF files. I’ve tried updating the software, checking font embedding, and changing display settings — but the issue still persists.

Has anyone else faced this problem? Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance for your help. 🙏

Hi @chase_2006

Sorry for the troubled experience, and thanks for reaching out.

There was a known issue and has been fixed already but as part of an optional release: https://adobe.ly/3R6BI7t

  • 4502288: Text goes missing on opening PDF whereas only graphics/images are displayed

Optional release means this fix won't get installed automatically, to install this update, launch Acrobat > Help > Check For Updates. Alternatively, you may download the patch form the link provided above.

If the issue persists, please share a video of the issue and also check if the issue is reproducible with other files as well.

Let us know how it works.

Hello @chase_2006 ,

Is this happening just on macOS or Microsoft Windows computers or in both?

Also, you mentioned that this is happening with certain PDFs. Can you tell which software was used to convert those files to PDF? Or, are you able to share one of those PDFs with no sensitive data on it?
