Text surrounding redaction area disappears

I'm using Acrobat v25.1 and redacting a bunch of large files. The text in some of the documents is probably 9 or 10 point. The redaction area extends up into the previous line and below into the next line so that it touches and partially obscures the text. I can live with that, but in many cases, the text being encroached upon disappears.  Is there a way to change the default redaction area size? Any suggestions? Redacting is pretty easy with search and redact, but I really need to be able to read the resulting file.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

To control the size of redaction areas in Adobe Acrobat, you can either draw them manually by holding down Ctrl while using the Mark for Redaction tool, or adjust their look using the Redaction Tool Properties. There, you can change things like the color of the redaction boxes or add custom text over the redacted area

Thanks - I know I can manually describe the redaction area using CTRL, but there are several hundred redactions per document and 9 documents. I'm concerned about the time involved as well as missing even one redacted PII. That's what makes search and redact valuable. The properties option allows me to change the color of the redaction but all that means is I can make a red box that makes other text disappear.

Can I assume there is no way to adjust the height of the redaction area to accommodate small text?
