Thank you for all the answers! "The right-click "find" feature is gone"

My question was: "In older versions of Reader, I could right click the mouse and use "find" to search for words or phrases, but that feature is no longer there on the right click. How does one do that?"

Thank you to the many people who answered. Yes, CTRL-F is a solution, and yes, clicking both mouse buttons at once also worked.

When you select a word you will get the menu entry "Look Up ..."
When nothing is selected you will see tne menu entry "Find"

Sorry AkashDeep but that does not answer the question that the user posted.

The user asked how to do this using a mouse gesture not with keyboard shortcuts. In any case Try67 answer is actually more like it , but also not a correct answer.

Claire,

Hi Claire,

If you don't get the "Find" option in the context menu when you right-click on any area of the document, see if you need to press both the left and right mouse buttons at the same time.

It will pop the context menu that you're looking for. However, right-click should work because I don't have that issue. No keyboard shortcuts are necessary for this method.

Maybe you'll nee to manually force the latest update that was published for May 2020 or click on HELP ---> "Repair Installation".

Actually, I just noticed something I hadn't observed before, which shows my ignorance of how Adobe works. I assumed every time you open a pdf, it opened in Reader. Now I see that if I open, say, a pdf attached to an e-mail, it opens in Reader and yes, the right-click find feature works. When I open a pdf from a website, it just opens as a "pdf", and the only way I can search it is using the CTRL-F feature.

The keyboard shortcuts are helpful. I saved them to desktop for future reference.
