Due to issues trying to use dual monitors on my Mac laptop, I uninstalled, then tried reinstalling on a Mac desktop running Sierra 10.12.6. "Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

Previous suggestion from 2012 to run Repair Disk Permissions did not work.
