The Last Straw - Acrobat is a badly implemented, intrusive app which I just uninstalled.

I just downloaded some PDF letters from my bank about an investment account that is coming to the end of its term.  When I did so they all turned up as oddly-named PDF files,  stored in my Adobe filespace.  I want them stored offline in my own local external drives.  but despite playing with the options for an hour I can't find a way to download 'normal' PDF files,  or to convert what I have into locally stored content.

I find Acrobat hard to navigate,  intrusive in many ways apparently designed to prevent me using any other service for any purpose,  and a huge bloated waste of storage space.  In an effort to regain control of my downloads I uninstalled the app,  and considered unsubscribing - but ran into a cancellation fee that is equivalent to 3 months' subscription.

So my current intention is to use the online services IF and when I decide to use Acrobat for the next 3 months to see whether I can completely replace all the features I need.  If so,  I'm never using Adobe again.  If anyone else has gone through similar frustrations and knows how to tame the app so it behaves more considerately to its user,  please let me know.  If there's anywhere I can better express my frustrations to Adobe,  likewise please advise.

Adobe used to be my go-to app for efficient document processing.  Now it's become a member of a manipulative oligopoly.  (Looking at you,  Google,  Microsoft...)
