The original font (DIN) is not available

I have an issue. I want to change the text in an existing document.
Adobe displays the following information:

The original font (DIN) is not available or cannot be used for editing. Adobe Acrobat uses the Minion Pro font instead. 

What can be the problem? Or is it possible to fix the problem?
