Question

The school I work for bought me a subscription. When I attempt to send an e-signature request, I receive an error message that says "e-signature is temporarily unaviable". I've been getting this error since last week. How can I fix this?

When I attempt to send a parent a document to sign, I get the following error message E-signing services are temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. This doesn’t seem to be an outage. It’s been an issue since last week.

    Hello @Kindhearted_Radiance14be

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the trouble you had.

Could you please share more details about the issue? Are you receiving an error message when attempting to access services through the Acrobat or free Reader desktop application? Are you trying to access the services via Acrobat Online?

Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what is the version? Is it happening with all the PDFs, or specific to one?

Test on a completely different network first (this is the fastest diagnostic). Try Request e-signatures on a phone hotspot or different Wi-Fi, and temporarily turn off any VPN, antivirus, or corporate firewall. E-sign talks to separate Adobe Acrobat Sign servers that your other Acrobat features do not use, so a firewall/VPN can block just e-sign while everything else works. If it works on the hotspot, that is your answer, and your IT team should allow-list the Acrobat Sign domains: .https://adobe.ly/3UOCBa2, .https://adobe.ly/3UPr0aL, .https://adobe.ly/4rfWGlL, .https://adobe.ly/4hkE93c, https://adobe.ly/4jfSoZk, plus https://adobe.ly/4cNem23 and https://adobe.ly/4iAeaa8.

Refresh your sign-in and check the plan. Sign out of Acrobat fully (Menu > Help > Sign Out), relaunch, and sign back in with the correct Adobe ID (pick Personal vs Company/School correctly if prompted). Then confirm at https://adobe.ly/4iFMu3L that your plan is active and includes Request e-signatures.

Update and repair the app. Menu > Help > Check for updates, then Menu > Help > Repair installation, and restart. Also, try it in a browser at https://adobe.ly/4cNem23

I hope this helps, and please reach out if you need any assistance.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
