When working in Quickbooks desktop, I try to run a trial W-2 report.  When I do, I get an error message that says: "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.  If it is runnin, please exit and try again. (1014:1014)"  What's going on and why won't it work?  Do I need to reboot in order to restart Adobe Acrobat?  Never had to before.  I' running Windows 10.

Hi NumberCruncher504,

Have you tried repairing the installation of Acrobat?

If not then Launch application> Help> Repair installation

And if it still doesn't work then-

Use the cleaner tool to uninstall the application- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And download the application-  Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Let us know if it still doesn't work.

We are having the same issue and none of the solutions above have helped.  Any other ideas?

We are getting this sporadic issue primarily on a Citrix Virtual Desktop environment.  We reboot and the problem will return after a few files.  Can find no rhyme or reason.  Any other help would be greatly appreciated.
