Question

This Cloud SAAS B.S. has not improved a single thing about Adobe's product

I'm trying to look at a PDF and Acrobat DC keeps on logging out because of some bug.  So I go to log into my CC account to get support and the web site is crashing.

We went from buying programs and double clicking to launch them, to having to sign in to every damn thing we use and are on the hook for a monthly or yearly payment.  At the mercy of the technoology failing or a credit card purchase not going through to decide if we get to use it and work for the day or not.

This is not progress, this is moving backwards.  AND IT SUCKS.

Creative Cloud has done NOTHING to improve Adobe's line of products. In fact they are arguably buggier than they have ever been.   I've been using them since 1997.  You should have continued to sell licenses and upgrades and made everyones lives easier.

Acrobat is not SaaS. It is subscription based, but that's not the same thing. SaaS does not run on your own computer.

SAAS.  Software as a Service.  SAAS is more about the "service" or subscription model.  I'd disagree SAAS means it can only run in the cloud.  The very fact that AdobeDC will not run unless it can activate against a cloud server speaks volumes to this.

I'm aware of the perpetual license for Acrobat, but I do have the CC suite.

You can still buy a perpetual license for Acrobat (although not for most other Adobe apps). The current version is Acrobat 2020.
