Tiff to PDF Batch Question

I have a user that needs to convert about 4000 tiff files into a PDF.  Can acrobat handle this amount of files in a batch conversion?  If not, around what is the maximum number it can handle per batch?

Thanks try67, I know this is an adobe forum but do you know of any software that is able to do more?

pdftk is very robust, but somewhat difficult to use, as it's a command-line utility.

I've also developed my own batch tools that can do it, in case you're interested.

No. The number depends on many factors, but from my experience 500 is about

the maximum amount it will do in one go.
