Tool for checking field names for replacing spaces with _

Have any of you geniuses on the forum created a tool to check field names in a form and replace spaces with an underscore "_"?

PS - Also interested if this could work in InDesign as well.

I've developed various (paid-for) tools for renaming fields in a PDF file, but each one has its own set of limitations, as this is not such a trivial task is it may seem to be. See here: http://try67.blogspot.com/2014/06/rename-pdf-fields.html
