Tooltips Lost

I have a PDF form document with mutilple fields tha share the same name throughout the document. Each subsequent field ends in # followed by a number. I have a tooltip entered for these fields. Once I split the Adobe PDF file using the organize, split function, some of the tooltips are lost. I would like to retain the tooltip text throught all the fields. Any suggestions?
