My free trial of of Acrobat Pro is about to expire. I really like the create a pdf feature but I wouldn't use it enough to make it worh while paying for a subscrition. Is there a way I can get this feature without a subscripotion? TIA.

Not with Adobe software. Make sure you cancel your subscription in time, though, as it automatically switches you to a paid subscription if you don't do so.
