trouble printing from Mac

When I print a PDF from my Mac desktop, it comes out pixelated and faint. I think this problem started in Jan or Feb, 2024. Any ideas?

Also check for any pending/missing updates for printer driver and firmware and try updating them and see if that works.

In the Print dialog click Advanced and then tick-off "Print As Image".
