Trouble resaving pdf as working on remediation.

for the first few resaves it is ok but after that receive a message that cannot save as same name. says to resave as something else. then i do more changes and i have to resave that file. by time done have a series of temp files. This never used to be a problem but have upgraded to surface and updated Adobe Acrobt DC pro. What can i do because this is causing significant delays in remediation of a document and makes one wonder about alternative software...

Take a look at this old blog post, and even though I have not heard about this lately, this may still be a problem: http://khkonsulting.com/2014/01/who-is-hogging-my-file/

When you turn off Explorer's preview function, this may go away.

Hi,

Can you provide more info about your Acrobat Pro DC version update and the operating system where this is happening?

You mentioned about upgrading...which operating system where you using before?

Also, if you can share a screnshot when Acrobat throws the error that would be helpful.

It reads "The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

Using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro - downloaded August 27, 2020. Office 2016 - moved from desktop to Surface set up with Docking Stn.
