Trouble With Serial Number for (OEM) Adobe Acrobat Prof 8

Hi, I'm trying to reactivate my old, but well-loved copy of Adobe Acrobat Professional 8. I purchased it when I bought a scanner several years ago. I've tried going to the download page and inserted the serial number. The result was an "Invalid" Serial Number response. Please assist.
