Trying to create seperate free drawing marks

I am trying to create seperate free draw marks that can be edited individually. The marks are just points on a PDF image of a map, but every time I try to make a few marks, even when unslecting the tool and reselecting it, it groups them as one point and I am unable to seperate them. This is an issue because I need to be able to add/remove each point indivually for future edits as they are for moveable infastructure.

I understood the issue. It worked for me, although using an earlier version of Acrobat. Maybe something changed in between those two versions... The other option it to use a different tool (not just select, but actually use it), between each stroke. The final option is to use a script after the fact to "split up" all of the different strokes, but that is more complicated, of course.

Hold down Ctrl before selecting the tool to switch back and forth between creating separate comments with each stroke to creating comments that are combined under a single group.

Holding down control before selecting the tool didn't solve the issue, Ill attach an image of the comments with the hold down control when selecting the tool as well as a second image of one I did before I discovered that there was an issue to show more of what I am trying to do.

What tool are you using to make the marks? I was able to make marks using the Connected Lines Tool, the polygon tool, and the Line tool, and was ablt to move the points individually even after unselecting the tool and reselecting it.

 

Also, what version of Acrobat are you using?

I am currently using adobe acrobat pro 2017. The tools I am using is the draw free form tool.
