Every time I try and update my Acrobat DC to work on my brand new Mac, the update fails. I have uninstalled creative cloud, re-installed, restarted my computer, tried downloading from a different browser.... Feel like I'm out of options here. I need PDF for work as I work an office job.... HELP!

Hi Calvink

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to update the application as the update fails.

Do you get any error messgae when the update fails? If yes please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

What is the version of the Mac OS and the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version of the application go to Help > About Acrobat.

Please try to reboot the computer once and then try to update the application from help menu > Check for updates and see if that helps.

You may also try to manually install the patch from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html and see if that helps.

Let us know if you experience any trouble and need more help

Regards

Amal

Hi there,

I'm using macOS Big Sur and trying to update to version v.21.0. I haven't been able to launch an older version on this computer yet as my old Mac was too old to support the newer versions. It's error 136, I've attached a screenshot below... It's been happening since Friday.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root accont in Mac and try using the application there and check.

You may also try to update the application manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

Regards
