Turn off automatic deskew future in Acrobat DC

Hi there

I work with digitization in an university library.

We have recently had the issue where Acrobat DC automatically starts deskewing pages when converting our Tiff files (a whole book that's been photographed) into a combined PDF.

Can this be turned off somehow?

It often does not actually deskew the pages. We edit the books beforehand so then the "deskewing" just skews everything again. It's also a problem seeing as we use black backgrounds and the deskewing is done using a white background. The literature in question are very old handwritten books, letters etc which are seldom written in a straight way thus does not need deskewing in the way that Acrobat thinks it does.

Hopefully someone can help me. This is extremely frustrating and results into me having to double edit things.

Thanks so much!

In the preferences of Adobe Acrobat at "Converting To PDF" change the settings for TIFF files.
