Two Acrobat Pro questions concerning e-mail pdf file SEND BUTTON MISSING - SUBJECT IN MAIL MISSING

Hello all,

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro Versiosn 2024.001.20604 on a Mac.

I was up till now very content with the 'send button' in the previous versions of Acrobat Pro: Mail for Mac opened, the pdf was added as an attachment to a new e-mail and the subject automatically carried the name of the pdf. As I often send out drafts or corrected concepts, I was very happy I could just scan the subject for a specific mail.

In the latest version however, the e-mail icon is missing from the top bar. I can only find it under Share. Then it opens Mail for Mac with the pdf attached, but the subject rule is now blank.

My questions: can I get just the mail-envelope-icon-thingy back in the topbar? And how do I get the subject to automatically use the name of the pdf? Is that still possible?

Thanks for helping out!

Els

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.01.20615 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

You may also download the patch manually form the link https://adobe.ly/4a8Wuv2

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4a8Wvz6

If the subject is still missing from the email, please collect the Adobe CC logs https://adobe.ly/4a8WwDa and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

Hi Amal

thanks for the reply. I had already stated my Acrobat Version and OS in the first line of my question. I downloaded the most recent patch: 2024.001.20643 (today is April 2nd '24)  but that didn't do anything. No subject line in the mail. Then I deleted the preferences: no luck and when I tried to send the welcome-mail to myself: nothing in the subject line.

I've used the Adobe LogCollector Tool and uploaded it as per instruction.

Hopefully this will shed some light on this problem.

Thanks for helping out1
