Unable to activate Adobe Acrobat Prof Error 17:17

I purchased CDs for both CS and Adobe Acrobat Pro, have new computer. Have CDs and serial numbers but Adobe is not allowing me to activate. I get Error code 17:17 (not listed on the site). My computer is able to open and use so that is not the issue. Phone number for activation no longer work. Obviously Adobe wants customer to continually pay rather than own but since I've already paid for this product, why can't I activate it on my new computer???

CS3 and earlier are completely dead programs

 

The activation server has been removed and there is NO WAY to activate CS3 and earlier programs

 

If you have CS4-or-CS5-or-CS6 you may still activate

Why has activation been removed from a paid program? So customers who purchase a product from Adobe can expect to pay and pay for something they already bought??

Exactly what version are you trying to install? Some can be difficult on modern systems, others are blocked and impossible to activate.
