Unable To Change Text Typeface

I have a long-standing document that I wrote in Times New Roman.  When trying to edit the document, it automatically changes the typeface to Helvetica and does not respond when I try to change it to Times New Roman.  I can make all other edits (i.e. italicize or normal, bold or normal, font).  I have uninstalled and re-installed the computer and restarted it.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Bob387859470o2p @Wekid7969

The font/s wasn't entirely embedded in the file when the file was created initially.

You can check how to embed fonts here: https://www.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/resources/embed-fonts-in-pdf.html

I finally gave up.  No customer support.  I got a free app "Wondershare" from a the Apple Store.  It works great and is FREE!

Wondershare also has a promo deal...Lifetime for 103.00, which is for all the perks is a whole lot cheaper than Adobe.
