Unable to disable Adobe Digital Signature field

Hello, 

I’ve recently moved to a new Surface, and I’m encountering an issue when trying to sign documents. In the past, I was able to sign directly in the signature field using my digital pen, but now, whenever I select the signature box, it’s prompting me to create a new digital signature.

I simply want to be able to select the signature field and sign directly with my pen, as I did on my previous Surface. I’m currently working with clients and need their signatures as well, so using the “Fill & Sign” option isn’t convenient for this process.

 

I just want to select the signature field and be able to sign it using my digital pen. 

 

I would greatly appreciate any insight or assistance in resolving this issue.

Please let us know if you used the Digital Signature option before when signing the document. If you signed simply by clicking on the box, it might be possible that you were using the Fill & Sign tool or that the signature field was added to those forms. Digital Signature does not work that way. You may refer to the information on Digital Signature in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4ctsZpS.

 

Could you please share more information about whether you signed the documents sent to you or filled them out on your own? If you can share a screenshot of any such document with a signature you added for reference in a private message, that might give us some idea. You may send a private message using the envelope icon at the top right corner of this community page.
