Unable to edit PDF

I am trying to edit a PDF only delete and backspace are working but I am unable to insert any text or enter a new line. What can be the issue be and how to resolve it?

Regarding your Adobe Acrobat Pro version, ensuring you're using the most recent version is crucial. You can verify this by navigating to Help > About Acrobat. Ideally, you should have version 23.08.20533 installed. If not, checking for updates via Help > Check for updates is recommended. After updating, a computer reboot may be necessary.

 

If you're on Windows, attempting to repair the installation through the help menu could potentially resolve any software-related issues.
