"Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files Using Acrobat Add in In Word

I installed Acrobat Standard 2017 cannot create a PDF form from an existing Word Document using the Acrobat add in in Word 2019. I receive a popup that says "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files. I have already ran the repair function from the Control Panel and also tried uninstalling then installing Acrobat…but still get the error message.

Hi Billg,

Apologies for the delay in response, I hope you would be able to fix it by now.

If the problem still persists, you may try updating the application to the latest version available. Go to Help > Check for Updates. To know more about the latest version available please refer to the link - DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Let us know if that works for you

Regards,

Amal

See if lowering the security levels of the Macros in you MS Office applications helps.

Also check if uninstalling and reinstalling and Visual Basic and Visual C++ add-ins from MS Word also helps.

In a prior thread, a  user suggested that sfter trying the tips above he discovered that by removing and recreating the user profile was the solution

Uninstalled Acrobat and re-installed the Adobe add in appears in Word.  When I use the add on in Work (click on Adobe addin in Word document) the Acrobat menu appears, I then click on the Create PDF icon...then the error messages appears and states:  Unable ti find "Adobe PDF" resource files.  "Acrobat PDF Maker" You must have Administrator privileges to to install these files.  Please contract your local system administrator.  (This is my personal computer and I am the administrator.
