    Hi @Kese,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with using Acrobat Reader.

For ARM-based devices, the 32-bit installer would be the way to go forward.

Please try downloading the offline installer from here: https://get.adobe.vom/reader/enterprise/

Once there, select the 32-bit version before proceeding to downloading.

Let us know if this works for you.

    Regards,

    Souvik

The solution to avoid losing all the configurations of Adobe apps by removing them, is to remove only Adobe’s Creative cloud and reinstall it with a new package created in the Adobe Admin consol (Create a new package with only the creative cloud app and licence). Installed this new package and it fixed all the problems. This is relevant only for users like me who manage the subscription for a school or enterprise subscription and have access to the admin consol to create new packages. The problem was on a Windows 11 PC with the latest updates.

I had the same issue and tried this. It worked for me

Step 1 — Remove Everything Completely

    1. Press Windows + R

    2. Type:

      appwiz.cpl

    3. Uninstall anything related to Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader

    Then:

    1. Delete these folders manually if they exist:

      • C:\Program Files\Adobe

      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe

      • C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Adobe

      • C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

    Restart your PC.

Step 2 — Use Official Offline Installer (Important)

Do NOT use the small web installer.

Download the offline installer directly from Adobe’s official site (it’s larger ~200MB).

    https://get.adobe.com/de/reader/enterprise

    Then:

    1. Right-click installer

    2. Click Run as Administrator

    3. If Windows SmartScreen appears → Click More Info → Run Anyway

Unfortunately this doesn’t work for me. Same 2 issues: “AppContainer Incompatibility in Protected Mode” and then “Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL”

Thank you URAerotech - it work for me! I first clean everything as you describe, and downloaded from the Enterprise page (Norwegian 32 bit for Win 11) and run the installer as Admin. The processor on my PC is Arm64.

    Does not install on ARM64
Web Download does not install - You must install 32bit reader

But you can’t install Adobe Acrobat DC full version because all the installers force 64bit.

    Hi @Iain23068602biaa,

    Thanks for the response.

For ARM-based devices, the 32-bit installer would be the way to go forward.

If you want to install the full version of Acrobat Pro DC, please try downloading the offline installer from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/desktop/get-started/access-the-app/install-acrobat-enterprise.html

I have the same issue since an attemped Acrobat update on 7 February 2026. Attempted repair, uninstall/reinstall, restart-uninstall-restart-reinstall, diabled firewalls and antivirus software. It appears to be a microsoft/adobe security issue where Microsoft is not allowing the install to modify and install into required diecrtories. Somone needs to  look into compatability issues with MS Windows releases of late and provide an update/fix.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I have tried all the recommended steps, but none of the suggested solutions worked for me.

It started today, when I began receiving system incompatibility error messages, so I uninstalled the application. When reinstalling, the installer completes (100%), but the application is not installed or visible afterward. I have tried all the solutions suggested in this thread, but none worked.

This was exactly what I experienced today. As the newest post in this tread said, it was probably due to a compatibility error with MS Windows.

@ilker_9911 that’s super weird?! I literally on the weekend been installing Adobe on my wife’s new PC, and had no issues.

First since, you have tried 4-5 times, let’s do a clean sweep here, by downloading Adobe Cleaner Tool first, and remove any old remnants or corrupted installation files. https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html

Once you have cleaned it. Let’s go back and install it, Acrobat Reader, https://get.adobe.com/ca/reader

This is crucial… do not use any of the previous downloads. Better yet. delete those from your trash.
It should only take a few seconds. Or… if you prefer...

You could download Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App, and go through and get Acrobat. Or even go through your online account, adobe.com

    Hi @ilker_9911

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the troubled experience.

Use this link: https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/ choose “More download options” just slightly above the download button - small text.
Try downloading the installer and check again. Let us know how it works.

Unfortunately none of above suggestions didn’t work.

I used “AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe” and removed all.

then installed installer file 2025.001.21111 version. It seems installed properly but there is no any file, folder, app in the pc.

Even I tried Turkish version 2025.001.20997 (pls see below ss). this is really weird.
