Question

Unable to install Acrobat Standard

I have a newish PC using Windows 11. I've had Acrobat 2017 forever, and Adobe has stopped supporting it, so I have purchased and downloaded the Acrobat Standard. the exe file downloaded, but the installer doesn't work. I have restarted my computer multiple times. I also uninstalled my old Acrobat software.

When I try to install, *if* it actually progresses to the Creative Cloud stage, CC window just keeps spinning. I eventually see a message that CC is taking a longer than usual time to load. Relaunching does nothing.

Has anyone had this issue? Any suggestions?

Edited. Sorry, I thought you wrote you had Acrobat X... I see now it's 2017.

@Enlightened_hope0D44 May I suggest that you use Adobe's Cleaner Tool, where it will help you remove old Adobe software, cleaning corrupt installation files. Only use Adobe official app cleaner! https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Thank you, but since my original post, I have successfully uninstalled Creative Cloud. I'm clicking on the Adobe installer, and it just keeps spinning and asking me to retry.  And the cleaner tool DOESN'T WORK! It asks me to choose a language, but doesn't accept my response.
