Hi @SMolsbee1969

Are you trying to install using the installer, or are you trying to repair Adobe Acrobat?

Re-download the Installer:

The error might indicate that the installation files are corrupted or incomplete. Re-extracting or re-downloading the installer can resolve this:

  • Re-extract the Installer: If you’re installing from a compressed file (like a ZIP), try extracting the contents again to ensure all files are intact.
  • Re-download the Installer: If the installer was downloaded from the internet, it’s possible the download was corrupted. Download a fresh copy from your account.

2. Run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool:

This tool helps in cleaning up corrupted installations and can resolve installation issues:

  • Download the Cleaner Tool: Visit Adobe’s official page to download the Acrobat Cleaner Tool.
  • Run the Tool: Follow the on-screen instructions to select and remove problematic Adobe installations.
  • Reinstall Acrobat: After running the cleaner tool, attempt to reinstall Adobe Acrobat.

3. Check for System-Specific Issues:

Sometimes, system configurations or other software can interfere with Adobe installations:

  • Temporarily Disable Antivirus Software: Some antivirus programs might mistakenly block certain installation files. During the installation process, temporarily disable your antivirus.
  • Ensure Sufficient Disk Space: Verify that you have enough disk space on your system drive for the installation.
  • Run as Administrator: Right-click the installer and select “Run as administrator” to ensure it has the necessary permissions.

Let us know how it works

I used the Acrobat cleaner Tool and reinstalled and it fixed it. Now I just keep having the (annoying) pop up wanting me to register or continue with the trial. I've registered before but for some reason, it doesn't like my registration number. I can click to close it out several times and it stays gone for a little bit but then reappears. Any suggestion on getting it to stop showing that pop-up?

Hello @SMolsbee1969 !

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Could you please provide a screenshot of the pop-up message you are receiving? Additionally, make sure you are logged in to Acrobat using the Adobe ID (email) associated with your license or subscription. If you are using the free Acrobat Reader app and attempt to access any features that are part of the paid version of Acrobat, you will be prompted to either purchase a license or continue with a trial.

Please sign out of the app, verify that you have Acrobat installed, and then sign back in using your Adobe ID. Download and install Acrobat from the direct link: https://adobe.ly/3ThQJV1

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
