Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.2039x Planned update, Jan 23, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check.
For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/40wv6U9.

For testing purposes, please navigate to Menu (Windows)/Acrobat (Mac) Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Start-up", "Protected View," and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat. Check if you still not able to open the PDF.

Please enable all the security options after the testing.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Open Adobe app. Click on ADOBE, top left. Then select Preferences. Now go to options listed on left panel. Go down to and select Security (enhanced). When that opens, make sure none of the options have been selected. Close app. Open app. You should now be able to open multiple PDFs without quitting and restarting ADOBE.

My office is experiencing the same thing with most users of both Reader and Acrobat Pro.
