Unable to save as PDF in acrobat pro

The document only saves as an editable version, with tools available. I want to save the document as a regular PDF.

I'm not a techie, so not sure I'm describing the problem clearly. I don't want the people I share the document with to be able to edit the document. They just need to be able to read and save the document.

This problem only began yesterday when I reverted back to the original program.

The Allow status of each item doesn't change until after you save the document with the password in place. After that, like in your document, if you view your protection status, you will see that most of these (depending on what level of protection you wanted) will now say Not Allowed. Your file here is Secured.

You can password protect the file.

Even when I try to password protect the document, in preferences, I still see Alllow for every option. When the "New Look" version downloaded three days ago, this problem began. All I want to do is have my documents be read-only, which they were until 8/24. The attached file should be read-only.
